Dear
Fellow Cattlemen,
We
would like to say thank you for your past
support of the Frank Turner & Sons program.
We realize you have many places that you
may choose to purchase cattle from and we
sincerely appreciate you selecting our cattle
for use in your program.
We know this is a very busy time of the year
and hope things are going well for your operation.
Everyone is working to find ways to increase
their efficiency as well as production. Frank
Turner and Sons understands those challenges
as we face the same obstacles you encounter.
As a result of our search for stronger genetics,
we traveled to the Gardiner Angus Ranch in Kansas
and purchased four new herd sires that we feel
will give us an edge thus improving your operations
through your continued use of our genetics. The
first bull we purchased was Lot 2, GAR Objective
5496, who is the #3 $Beef non-parent bull of
the Angus breed. He has an 18.6 inch Adj REA
and records a yearling weight EPD of +124. His
dam is a maternal sister to GAR Solution. The
second bull was Lot 6, GAR Retail Product 6276,
who is a powerful Retail Product son that is
out of a tremendous Bon View New Design 1407
dam. He has a $Beef of 62.64 with a yearling
EPD of +102. The third bull, Lot 16, GAR Objective
7676, is another Objective son with a +61.38
$Beef and a yearling EPD of +112 which places
him in the top half of the top 1% of the Angus
breed for non-parent bulls. The fourth bull was
Lot 153, GAR Chair Rock 5050 K856, who is the
#3 non-parent bull of the Angus breed for Rib
Eye. He has a 19.7 inch Adj REA. This is a bull
that truly will add muscle.
Is Frank Turner and Sons committed to improving
our cattle? You bet we are! These bulls used
in a selective manner will produce future generations
of top quality Angus genetics that will also
help to improve your bottom line.
At Frank Turner and Sons we are not into the
latest fad nor are we trying to be included in
the “you buy from me and we will buy from
you” circle. What we are trying to do is
produce top quality cattle that will perform
and in turn help those who purchase from us.
We would greatly like to know how your Frank
Turner and Sons cattle have performed for you,
be it good or bad. This is the only way we can
survive and keep your business.
You are invited to come by the farm anytime and
especially on November 1 when we will host our
2008 Sale.
Let us know if we can assist you in any manner.
Sincerely,
Frank
